AMC Gears Up For Another FearFest Starting October 1

by Thomas Tuna

Just two months to go.

Halloween is right around the corner (at least that’s how horror fans look at the calendar), and AMC is preparing for its annual FearFest slate of programs.

And, better news yet, this year the fun starts Oct. 1, instead of mid-month as in past years. Check out the Twitter post that makes the official announcement.

The schedule and lineup of goodies for this season has yet to be revealed, but if past years are any indication, there will be scares enough for everyone. Last year, FearFest boasted installments from such fan-favorite franchises as Candyman, Children of the Corn, Final Destination, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Hellraiser, The Omen, Scream and Underworld.

In addition, fans can expect plenty of coverage on The Walking Dead–with the final episodes airing on AMC in October–as well as the show’s various spinoffs.

TWD chief content officer Scott M. Gimple has already said the finale of the long-running series “is about completing the story. There’s room for those spinoffs, but–full-on–The Walking Dead concludes the story of these 11 years.”
