Before the six extra episodes of Season 10 of The Walking Dead hit AMC in late February, fans will be treated to The Walking Dead Preview Special.
The show–set to air on AMC Feb. 21, one week before the Feb. 28 six-episode season debuts with Home Sweet Home–will be hosted by Talking Dead’s Chris Hardwick, according to comicbook.com. The special will bring together the cast and crew to share insights and revelations on the new episodes that will air from Feb. 28-Apr. 4.
Showrunner Angela Kang was very enthusiastic about the new Season 10 episodes. “I’m really excited about so much in these episodes,” she said. “They’re really focused stories–each one–so you really get to dive into people in a fun way.”
These new episodes, as explained, will reveal never-before-seen characters, with guest stars Robert Patrick (Mays), Okea Eme-Akwari (Elijah) and Hilarie Burton Morgan (Lucille).
These shows–as reported here in Horror News Network–explain how the survivors move on in the wake of the destruction the Whisperers left behind. The years of struggle “weigh upon them as past traumas surface–exposing their more vulnerable sides.”
Following Home Sweet Home will be Find Me, One More, Splinter, Diverged and Here’s Negan.
The Walking Dead–based on the Image Comics series created by Robert Kirkman–is led by Kang and chief content officer Scott M. Gimple. The Walking Dead Universe also boasts Fear The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond and a feature film being produced by Universal Pictures, Skybound Entertainment and AMC.
