It seems one summer in the mid-1990’s keeps people remembering as the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise continues to expand. Now, according to Deadline, the Amazon Prime reboot series has added nine cast members including Madison Iseman, known her her role in Jumanji: The Next Level.

According to the article, the series is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

In addition to Iseman, Brianne Tju (47 Meters Down: Uncaged) has been added along with Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck.

So far, character descriptions are being kept under wraps, though it is suggested Iseman is the lead.

Based on the 1973 novel of the same name, the story is set in a small town where a group of teenagers are stalked by a vengeful killer a year after a fatal hit-and-run during their graduation night celebration.

The original Summer film was released in October 1997 and starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe. It was followed by a direct sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and a direct-to-video follow-up titled I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer . The latter beared little resemblance to its predecessors and had no returning cast members.

With a fresh cast on board, production on the series is set to begin later this month in Hawaii based on a screenplay written by Sara Goodman, who is known for her work on Preacher.
