The days leading up to Halloween just got a lot spookier–thanks to another team-up from Blumhouse Productions and Amazon Prime Video.
Welcome to the Blumhouse–a second slate of four horror films that follows up on the quartet that debuted last October on Amazon–will hit the streamer in early October, as reported by JoBlo.com. Check out the poster for the upcoming films and watch a trailer for last season’s four features on this page.
These films, according to Blumhouse, will deal with “unsettling themes of institutional horrors and personal phobias,” and will tap into “people’s deepest fears.” The movies will “showcase up-and-coming filmmakers, alongside established actors in exceptional and shocking roles.”
Here’s the rundown on this year’s four fearsome flicks:
* Bingo Hell (Oct. 1)–Directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero from a screenplay by Shane McKenzie, Perry Blackshear and Guerrero, Bingo Hell finds a feisty senior citizen fighting to protect her neighborhood from an evil force that has taken over the bingo hall and is killing the residents.
* Black as Night (Oct. 1)–Directed by Maritte Lee Go from a screenplay by Sherman Payne, Black as Night follows a teenage girl, driven by revenge, as she spends her summer battling vampires who are terrorizing New Orleans.
* Madres (Oct. 8)–Directed by Ryan Zaragoza from a screenplay by Marcella Ochoa and Mario Miscione, Madres follows a Mexican-American couple, expecting their first child, as they move to a migrant farming community in 1970s California, where strange symptoms and terrifying visions threaten their new family.
* The Manor (Oct. 8)–Written and directed by Axelle Carolyn, The Manor follows Judith Albright, the victim of a mild stroke, as she moves into a nursing home, where she becomes convinced a supernatural force is killing the residents.
