Alien Ship From ‘Nope’ Revealed In Recent Television Spot

by Thomas Tuna

Now that’s a good, old-fashioned flying saucer.

Nope–Jordan Peele’s latest horror-fantasy project–is a little more than a month away from invading theaters, and a recent TV spot gave fans their first good look at the alien spacecraft hinted at in various previous teasers. Check out the tantalizing video–courtesy of screenrant.com–on this page.

Peele–who wrote, directed and produced Nope–is playing things close to the vest (as is his wont) with this film, sparingly dropping crumbs without revealing too much of anything about the storyline. All that is known at this point is that “residents in a lonely gulch of inland California bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.”

Nope–set for theatrical release July 22–stars Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Judas and the Black Messiah), Keke Palmer (Scream: The TV Series), Oscar nominee Steven Yeun (Minari, The Walking Dead), Michael Wincott (Westworld) and Brandon Perea (The OA).

Peele–who has said “the best and scariest monsters are human beings and what we are capable of”–explained he has been working on “these premises about different social demons–these innately human monsters–and each of my movies is going to be about a different one of these demons.”
