Get ready to splash in Crystal Lake next year.

Crystal Lake–the upcoming Peacock series that will act as a prequel to the 1980 horror classic Friday the 13th–will feature the return of Adrienne King (who famously played Final Girl Alice Hardy). And this week, King dropped a tease regarding the show’s release window.

Taking to social media, the actor posted a photo she snapped with showrunner and executive producer Bryan Fuller and wrote, “I had another exciting meeting, filling me in on what’s in store for us at Camp Blood. Can’t wait until I’m able to share some details. Coming 2024.”

The few details announced so far include Fuller working alongside co-executive producers Victor Miller (who wrote the screenplay for Friday the 13th), Marc Toberoff and Rob Barsamian. It’s also been reported that Kevin Williamson (of Scream fame) will write at least one episode.

The original Friday the 13th–directed by Sean S. Cunningham–follows several teenage camp counselors who are murdered one-by-one by an unknown killer while trying to reopen an abandoned summer camp on Crystal Lake. A huge hit with horror fans, the film earned nearly $60 million worldwide on a budget of just $550,000.
