Drive a stake though it.
Interview with the Vampire–the AMC adaptation of the 1976 Anne Rice novel and the 1994 feature film–became a fan-favorite during its first season, but work on Season 2 has hit a roadblock with the recent actors’ strike, according to a report on Deadline.
The horror TV series has been shooting in Prague since April, but production has now ground to a halt. No timetable for resumption of filming has been offered at this time.
The eight-episode second season–led by showrunner Rolin Jones–stars Louis Anderson as Louis, Sam Reid as Lestat and Delainey Hayles taking over as Claudia from Bailey Bass. The cast is rounded out by Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy, Assad Zaman as Armand and Ben Daniels as Santiago.
The new season (whenever it finally debuts on AMC) will continue Rice’s epic vampire saga that follows Lestat, Louis and Claudia in a tale of “love, blood and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy.”
