The spinoff–from showrunner David Zabel and executive producer Angela Kang–follows Dixon as he “washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why,” according to the new, expanded synopsis.
In the series, Dixon treks across a “broken, but resilient, France and hopes to find his way back home. As he journeys, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.”
Clemence Poesy and Adam Nagaitis recently joined the cast–with Poesy playing Isabelle, who joins forces with Dixon, and Nagaitis portraying Quinn, a displaced Brit who has become a powerful black marketeer.
Reedus has described his new show as “way different. There’s a different tone, a different light, a different sound. It’s epic in scale–and the tone is so good and moody.”
