A24 has bought the U.S. rights to the horror thriller ‘Green Room’. It stars Patick Stewart and Anton Yelchin. The film makes it’s U.S. premiere at next month’s Toronto Film Festival and A24 is planning at theatrical run next year in the spring. Jeremy Saulnier directs the film, which has a story centered around a punk band, played by Yelchin, Imogen Poots and Alia Shawkat, who see something criminal while at a gig in Oregon. The evil owners of the club, led by Stewart, decide that the band has played their last show, which leads to a life-or-death battle. The film premiered at Cannes, with reviews praising Stewart’s performance and the effective use of ultraviolence in the film. Before it became a studio, Broad Green produced the film, along with filmscience, and Neil Kopp, Victor Moyers, and Anish Savjani.
