‘The Simpsons’ Annual ‘Treehouse of Horror’ Episode Includes Parodies of ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘The Shape of Water’

The Simpsons annual “Treehouse of Horror”episode not only hits some impressive milestones this year (number 30, or the much cooler looking roman numeral XXX, and the craftily-planned 666 episode in the longest running animated series in TV history), but it also takes aim at some of the hottest and critically acclaimed series and films such as Stranger Things and The Shape of Water.

In addition to the aforementioned parodies, the 30th “Treehouse of Horror” episode will also feature segments involving a demonic Maggie and Homer’s spirit possessing some new, more fit bodies.

The episode will air Sunday, Oct. 20 at 8:00 on Fox (and you may want to add some time to your recording, just in case the late NFL games run into the broadcast).
