Surrounded by controversy since the start of its marketing campaign, the film was postponed from its original September 2019 release with no word on it until today.

The premise of The Hunt is loosely based on the 1924 short story The Most Dangerous Game, by Richard Connell and follows 12 strangers who mysteriously wake up in a clearing. They do not know where they are or how they got there, however they discover that they have been chosen to be hunted in a game devised by a group of people from the rich elite. The hunters gather in a remote facility called the Manor House but their sport gets derailed when one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin), fights back and starts killing them one by one.

Since Mark was four years old he has always loved the horror genre, even when his mother would be a good parent and not let him watch such films. It was when he would sneak into the Horror section at the video store called Tommy K's that he would see all of the VHS covers of classics like Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street. During his time as a journalism major and news staff writer at Southern CT State University, he had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren before a seminar in 2009 at the Lyman Center on campus.
