The Blind Man Fights Back In Trailer For ‘Don’t Breathe 2’

Hold your breath. Don’t move. The Blind Man is taking care of business.

Sony Pictures this week dropped a new red-band R-rated trailer for Don’t Breathe 2, as reported by, and the intensity in this sequel has definitely been kicked up a notch. Or two. Watch the video on this page and see for yourself.

The follow-up to the 2016 Screen Gems hit–which lands in theaters next week, Aug. 13–is directed by Rodo Sayagues from a screenplay he wrote with Fede Alvarez. The sequel finds Norman Nordstrom (The Blind Man) some eight years after the horrific events in Don’t Breathe.

But now, he’s living with 11-year-old Phoenix and, when intruders invade their home and threaten the girl, Norman “will reveal, for a second time, what’s hidden inside him. And again, it will be in new and unexpected ways.”

The sequel stars Stephen Lang (reprising his role as The Blind Man), Brendan Sexton III, Madelyn Grace, Adam Young, Bobby Schofield, Rocci Williams, Steffan Rhodri, Stephanie Arcila, Diaana Babnicova and Christian Zagia.

The original Don’t Breathe–directed by Alvarez from a script he wrote with Sayagues–proved to be a sleeper hit, earning $157 million worldwide on a $10-million budget.
