Tales from the Crypt Reboot – New Trailer?

From 1989 to 1996, HBO kept horror fans glued to their network with their take on EC Comics’ classic Tales from the Crypt series. For seven years and 93 episodes, the Crypt Keeper introduced different tales of terror into our homes and we gobbled it up and begged for more. Boasting a huge list of notable guest stars, the series was a hit until it had eventually run its course with the network.

Fast forward to mid-2016 and film icon M. Night Shyamalan was announced as the new head of the series that was greenlit by TNT Network for 10 episodes to air in 2017. Horror fans rejoiced and danced in the streets! However, by the end of 2016, the show was reportedly mired in legal issues with problems securing rights and then word made its way around about possible budgeting issues at TNT as well. Horror fans were now despondent…

Now, here we are nearing March of 2017 and some sort of trailer drops for the project? With no real word from the network that we can find, we will present to you the trailer that is circulating. We must admit that it seems odd to not see this trailer on TNT’s website or their YouTube page. A further search of TNT’s website also reveals no mention of Tales from the Crypt.

Horror fans are…cautiously optimistic?

Keep it locked to Horror News Network as we will continue to follow this story.
