New Trailer for ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Season Two Promises More Vampire Hijinks

If you have been looking for some much needed laughter this season, Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s new full-length trailer for horror/comedy hit What We Do in the Shadows Season Two should satisfy your “thirst”.

For those unfamiliar with What We Do in the Shadows, HNN described the series last year as being “… based on Waititi and Clement’s film of the same name, the TV adaptation takes place in Staten Island, New York, instead of New Zealand.  The television series stars the three principal vampires, Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Lazslo (Matt Berry), and Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), as well as their roommate Colin (Mark Proksch), a decidedly modern, and yet familiar vampire to anyone who works in an office: the energy leeching vampire.”  The vampires were also joined last season by their loyal human familiar Guillermo (played by Harvey Guillén), who made the mistake of “accidentally killing” a couple of vampires. read more

‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Episodes 1-3: The Horror News Network Review

Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi broke new ground in 2014 with the feature film What We Do in the Shadows by blending the tried and true mockumentary formula with an adept understanding of vampire lore and history. When it was announced that the franchise would live on in the form of a new television series, there was most certainly a lingering question of whether fans could fall in love again with brand new characters and a new setting. Clement and Waititi wrote, directed, and starred in the original film; but this time around they’re only on board for the occasional writing or directing duty. Fortunately, however, the new What We Do in the Shadows series faithfully resurrects the spirit of their beloved film and it introduces the audience to a plethora of hilarious new characters and clever flourishes on the mockumentary format. read more
