‘Mandy’ Gets First Trailer

Mandy, one of the most shocking selections of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, has released its first trailer.

Directed and written by Panos Cosmatos with co-writer Aaron Stewart-Ahn, Mandy is one of the last films scored by Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson who died on February 9, 2018 due to unknown causes.

The film stars Nicolas Cage, known for his 1995 Oscar-winning performance in Leaving Las Vegas and other supernatural roles such as Ghost Rider and Drive Angry. Andrea Riseborough, known for her performances in Oblivion, Birdman and TV’s Waco, plays the titular character Mandy. read more

Our Thoughts: ‘Hellions’ centers around a teen girl named Dora who finds out she is pregnant on Halloween, a real life nightmare to any teenage girl. However, when creepy, not-quite-human, trick-or-treaters start harassing her, the real nightmare begins. At first, it’s unclear if she’s hallucinating, or something supernatural is occurring.  read more

Company Acquires Worldwide Rights to 

Nicolas Pesce’s Beautiful and Shocking Sundance Sensation

New York, New York (February 12, 2016) – Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, announced today that it has acquired worldwide rights to THE EYES OF MY MOTHER, the hauntingly beautiful and shockingly original debut from filmmaker Nicolas Pesce. The film fuses classic horror ingredients with gothic black-and-white imagery and was called the “discovery of this year’s Sundance” by Indiewire’s Eric Kohn.  It also features a breakout performance from newcomer Kika Magalhaes. Magnet is planning a 2016 theatrical release. read more
