Official Cast Photo Released for David Lynch’s Twin Peaks Revival

The March 31st issue of Entertaiment Weekly will feature three connecting covers which reveal the first official cast photo for David Lynch’s Twin Peaks revival. In the image, director David Lynch is surrounded by many returning favorites from the original series, including  Madchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Sherilyn Fenn, Peggy Lipton, Kyle MacLachlan, James Marshall, Everett McGill, and Wendy Robie. In addition to the actors featured above, the new series will also add James Belushi, Michael Cera, Inland Empire star Laura Dern, returning favorite David Duchovny, Michael Cera, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Naomi Watts, and others. In an accompanied interview with EW, Lynch describes the new series as “a feature film in 18 parts,” and explains that the script for the project is over 400 pages long. While details about the project are still very sparse and mysterious (like the series itself), it’s clear that fans of Twin Peaks will have a lot to look forward to this Spring!

Showtime’s Twin Peaks Premiere Date Announced

Since being announced back in 2014, Showtime’s revival of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks has been an unusual- and sometimes rocky- ride. Lynch left the project in 2015, and returned after further negotiations with the network. Fortunately, fans of the series will be able to watch new content soon!

Showtime announced today that the two-hour premiere episode will air at 9:00 p.m. E.T. on May 21st, 2017. The series will contain a total of 18 episodes.

Known for its unusual characters and atmospheric storytelling, Twin Peaks originally took the television world by storm in 1990. It will be interesting to see how the series will continue to captivate viewers in the new age of premium television.

Showtime to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of Dexter with Fan Picked Marathon

In celebration of it’s 10th anniversary, Showtime is asking fans to vote for their favorite episodes of Dexter, the top ten of which will be featured in an on-air marathon October 1st. The acclaimed serial killer series premiered on Showtime October 1, 2006 and spawned eight seasons. The drama centered around the life of Dexter Morgan, a blood-splatter expert for Miami Metro police by day and serial killer, with his own sense of morality, by night.

The cast included Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, Aimee Garcia, Desmond Harrington, Erik King, C.S. Lee, Geoff Pierson, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas and James Remar. Over the course of it’s run, the series earned a Peabody Award, along with 25 Emmy® and 10 Golden Globe® Award nominations. Michael C. Hall won a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for his role as Dexter. The Writers Guild of America named it one of the best written series of all time.

Showtime Previewing Season 3 Premiere of PENNY DREADFUL

Showtime is going to be making the season premiere of Penny Dreadful available online prior to its May 1 air date.   Starting today, viewers, including those not subscribed to Showtime, can watch the premiere for free on  YouTube, Facebook and SHO.com.    The online version is a TV-14 rated edited version of the premiere. 

It is available on Hulu, Roku and Sony PlayStation Vue for sampling.   It is also available On Demand via cable providers, which include Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Dish, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS.   Subscribers can view it on Showtime on Demand.

Naomi Watts and Tom Sizemore Join ‘Twin Peaks’

Naomi Watts and Tom Sizemore have been cast in the new ‘Twin Peaks’ Showtime series from David Lynch.   Other new additions to the cast include Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Amanda Seyfried.   Lynch is directing the series which he co-wrote with co-creator Mark Frost. Kyle MacLachlan is the only original cast member officially confirmed in the new series.   It will debut in early 2018. Original cast members rumored to return include Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer and Sheryl Lee.
