Pegg and Frost Post Updated ‘Shaun of the Dead’ Scene as Current PSA

During this time of uncertainty, the folks behind the zombie comedy classic Shaun of the Dead are here to brighten everyone’s day.  And exactly what we need in a prolonged period of social distancing are more things to help us smile.

In a post on the ‘Stolen Picture’ YouTube channel entitled “The Plan,” stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reprise their roles as reluctant hero Shaun and best friend Ed to reenact an iconic scene from the 2004 British hit.  While laying out their “battle plan”, the duo continually run into issues due to the ever-tightening restrictions placed on society, forcing them to revise their tactics.  A few of the 180’s suggested that deviate from the film are “Don’t go to Liz’s” and  “Don’t go to the Winchester”, as well as an opportunity to atone for a homophobic slur previously uttered that just doesn’t fly in 2020.  The full video post can be viewed below. read more

Edgar Wright’s Next Film Will be a Psychological Horror-thriller

In a recent interview with Empire Online, writer/director Edgar Wright spilled the beans on his latest feature and lucky for genre fans it’s horror! The award-winning creator went on to say that his next film will be psychological horror-thriller citing Don’t Look Now and Roman Polanski’s Repulsion as influences.

In 2004 Wright released the horror comedy Shaun of the Dead which starred Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The film was a hit with both fans and critics alike and earned $30 million at the box office. The trio would reunite in 2007 with the buddy cop film Hot Fuzz and once again in 2013 with the science fiction film The World’s End. read more
