‘The Walking Dead’ Season 8 Finale Will Supposedly Wrap Up All Eight Seasons

In Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive interview with The Walking Dead’s Scott Gimple, the  showrunner claimed that this Sunday’s finale will finally wrap up eight seasons of storytelling, and head in a new direction in season nine.

Gimple realized that “People were pretty to the limit this year emotionally.” and therefore “…this episode isn’t just like these 15 episodes coming to a conclusion, but Angela and myself and the writers had always talked about this in many ways being sort of the conclusion of the first eight seasons. This show will be very much a new show next year and with a bigger, new narrative. It was something I was really excited about getting into even before season 8. And so there was just a certain weight in the air of the kind of conclusion that we were getting closer to. It was a weird graduation for everybody.” read more

Chandler Rigg’s Father Says He “Never Trusted” ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Scott Gimple or AMC

Many fans were shocked, annoyed, and dumbfounded when they witnessed Rick Grimes son Carl facing down his doom at the end of the mid-season finale of the Walking Dead this past Sunday, leaving viewers with yet another melodramatic cliffhanger involving Carl, and what appears to be a zombie chomp on his belly.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Spin-off Book Series Coming Soon

Entertainment Weekly broke the news today that Buffy the Vampire Slayer would continue as a new young adult book series by author Kiersten White, introducing a new group of characters that will follow in the tradition of the well-loved originals.

The new series of books “…will be published in the fall of 2018, will be titled Slayer and will feature a brand new slayer from the group of potentials that Willow used her Wicca skills to awaken in the show’s final episode.”

Liesa Abrams, vice president and editorial director of Simon Pulse, praised the choice of White, stating that,“Kiersten White, whose work we deeply admire, is the perfect author to write an original series set in the Buffyverse. We couldn’t be more excited to have Kiersten on board to bring her skill and passion for Buffy together with one of the most influential properties in popular culture.” read more
