Sony Moves ‘Slender Man’ Release Date Once Again; Will Now Open on August 10

The trials and tribulations of Sony’s Slender Man have been well-documented by Horror News Network, but just when it looked like the maligned film would disappear from the release schedule entirely, Slender Man has been pushed up two weeks to August 10.

The film will now go head-to-head with another PG-13 horror film debuting on the same date, The Meg.  Screens are at a premium this time of year, so don’t be surprised  if the film gets “limited engagement status” and a minimal screen count. read more

‘Cloverfield’ Spin-Off Release Date Moved Once Again; Will Now Debut in April 2018

There are very few things that you can count on in life, but one of them is that the still untitled Cloverfield 3 film (originally titled The God Particle) has once again moved its release date.  

HNN reported in July that Paramount Studios decided to move the film from October 2017 to February 2, 2018.  It was originally supposed to hit theaters in February of 2017.

In preparation for HNN’s Winter Movie Preview, Horror News Network contacted Paramount to confirm that the untitled film, with no poster or trailer with less than a month to go before its release date would indeed be released on February 2nd (and it appears that we weren’t the only ones wondering about this lack of promotional materials for the Cloverfield spin-off). read more
