Rebecca Ferguson Lands Lead Role in New ‘Men In Black’ Film

In an exclusive report by Deadline, it has been confirmed that Mission: Impossible Fallout’s Rebecca Ferguson has just landed a key role in Sony Pictures’ Men In Black, also starring  Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Rafe Spall, and Kumail Nanjani.

It was reported in February by HNN’s John Evans that F. Gary Gray (Straight Out of Compton) will direct the new film which is currently slated to be be released sometime in 2019.

The news of Ferguson’s casting added another exciting element to the film, as evidenced by her recent work in the last two Mission Impossible films, and may help convince some of the naysayers to give the sequel/reboot a chance.  Details about the script or who Ferguson will be playing in the film are currently unavailable. read more

Universal Releases Official Trailer for ‘The Snowman’

There’s a new dark thriller coming out called The Snowman. Before you run away from this article, let me assure you that it is not a sequel to Jack Frost! This one is based upon a novel by Jo Nesbø and directed by Tomas Alfredson (director of the modern classic, Let the Right One In). It has some excellent actors in it too, including Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, J.K. Simmons, and Val Kilmer.

Here is Universal’s official synopsis for the film:

“When an elite crime squad’s lead detective (Fassbender) investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, he fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. With the help of a brilliant recruit (Ferguson), the cop must connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one if he hopes to outwit this unthinkable evil before the next snowfall.” read more
