Legendary Unleashes New Trailer for ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’

Today Legendary Entertainment released a new trailer for Pacific Rim Uprising. The two-and-a-half minute trailer features action and Kaijus, but looks closer to what fans have come to expect from Michael Bay Transformers movie.

In Pacific Rim Uprising the monstrous Kaiju have returned and it is up to a new generation of Jaeger pilots to destroy the otherworldly creatures. As the conflict rises to new heights, the young pilots must unite together to ensure the safety of planet Earth. The films features rising stars John Boyega, Jing Tian, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day. Pacific Rim Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Netflix’s Daredevil, STARZ’s Spartacus). read more

Horror News Network’s Winter 2018 Movie Preview

The winter of 2017 was a banner season for horror films, with Split and Get Out dominating the box office, beginning one of the most profitable years for horror films of all time.  While there might not be a film that reaches the box office heights of either of the aforementioned films, there are a number of intriguing new films, time-tested sequels, and the inevitable stinkers that traditionally appear in this coldest of seasons.

Insidious: the Last Key (January 5): The Insidious franchise returns for a fourth time this January with a slight twist.  The film will chronologically take place before Insidious Chapter 2, focusing on the Lorraine Warren-esque psychic investigator Elise Rainier (portrayed by Lin Shaye) from the original film.  It seems like some “hitchhiking ghosts” have followed the investigator home to get even after the events that took place in the Lambert Household. read more

‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ Release Date Pushed Back By a Month to March 2018

According to deadline, the sequel to Guillermo del Toro’s kajiu vs. robot smash fest Pacific Rim, Pacific Rim Uprising, is moving into a crowded March 2018 schedule, but away from a potential box office heavy weight, on Friday March 23rd.

Although the sequel (directed by Steven S. DeKnight who will be making his silver screen debut after a number of television writing and directing jobs) moves into a crowded March with A Wrinkle in Time (March 9th), Tomb Raider (March 16th), Robin Hood (March 23rd), and Ready Player One (March 30th), it does move far away from Black Panther which debuts on February 16th and all current signs point to a long reign for King T’Challa at the box office. read more
