Halloween Series Producer Talks Possible Television Series

In 2016 Halloween series producer Malek Akkad’s company Trancas International Films was reported to be developing a television series based on the slasher films, and now Akkad said it is still in the works.

According to Akkad, the TV series has actually been in development for much longer than the early reports.

“You know, it’s something that we’ve had for a long time and I definitely want to see it done,” Akkad said. “When we started doing it… this was in development about a decade ago. At the time, I think the thought was we don’t want to cannibalize the theatrical. Let’s keep it as a theatrical event movie. If that starts flowing down, we would address TV. Nowadays, we all know, TV is pulling out ahead of theatrical in a way that surprised everybody, certainly me.” read more

CT HorrorFest 2018’s ’40 Years of Halloween’ Panel with Nick Castle, PJ Soles and Nancy Loomis

On Saturday September 15th 2018, three of the cast members from John Carpenter’s seminal 1978 film Halloween delighted the crowd at Connecticut’s annual CT HorrorFest convention with stories about working on the popular slasher film. The three were busy most of the day signing tons of Halloween memorabilia for the thousands of fans who flocked to the Danbury Ice Arena in hopes of meeting stars from their favorite films/television shows.

In attendance were Nick Castle, who played Michael Myers in the original film (he’s also reprising his role for 2018’s Halloween), PJ Soles who played Laurie Strode’s friend Lynda and Nancy Loomis (Kyes) who played Laurie’s other friend Annie Brackett. read more
