Jessica Lange is Back for ‘American Horror Story’ Season 8… and ‘AHS’ will be Back for Season 10

American Horror Story’s eighth season may be called Apocalypse… but today’s news makes it seem like a better title may be Rebirth! In just one day, we’ve learned that fan-favorite and original star of the show, Jessica Lange, has returned to the series for Season Eight, and the franchise has been renewed for a tenth season before a single episode of the eighth one has hit the airwaves.
Variety reports that Sarah Paulson let it slip at the TCA summer press tour that Jessica Lange will indeed reprise her role as Constance Langdon in the Murder House/Coven crossover that begins this September. Lange “retired” from the series after Season Four, Freak Show, and at the time it didn’t seem likely that she would ever return. At this time, it’s unclear how large of a role Lange will play in the upcoming season; but Constance was arguably the star of the original Murder House season, so it’s likely that Lange will be prominently featured this season.
