You can check out all of our photos from the event below:
In 1987 Clive Barker and his cenobites had “such sites to show you” in the iconic film Hellraiser. Thirty-one years and now ten films later, Gary J. Tunnicliffe wants to show you why “Evil Seeks Evil” in his latest film Hellraiser: Judgment.
It’s been quite a rough ride for the Hellraiser franchise which has been on a downward spiral ever since Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth and then perfectly flat-lining with the Doug Bradley-less Hellraiser: Revelations in 2011. Tunnicliffe who wrote, but did not direct, the dismal Hellraiser: Revelations, told 60 Minutes With that, “I knew what I wanted to make, and I felt like ‘you know what, I wrote a traditional Hellraiser story with Revelations and I got raped by the fans. I’m not going to try and appease the fans anymore.’ I’m going to make a film for me and I have a very strong idea visually on where I want to go with the story and its going to be very different. I’m going to make a food for me and offer everybody a bite.” read more
On the first day of this glorious new year, I thought I’d do my best impression of The Amazing Criswell and make some horror predictions for 2018. These aren’t necessarily wild ideas I’ve pulled out of thin air… they’re simply my expectations based on the trends I’ve observed developing over the course of 2017. I’ll document my thoughts now, and then revisit my premonitions in December to see how I did! So, without further ado, let’s peer into the wonderful world of tomorrow! read more
Horror legend Doug Bradley, best known for playing the iconic “Pinhead” cenobite in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, has apparently been brainstorming with his partner Steph Sciullo on a new experience for fans at horror conventions; that brainstorming has resulted in “The Pinhead Experience.”
What is this “Pinhead Experience”, you ask? Well read the below post from Doug’s Facebook page and then watch the video clip below it.
When fans and show organizers started to ask about the possibility of a Pinhead photo op with Doug a few years back, we dismissed it as an impossibility. Almost nothing relating to Pinhead existed anymore. No makeup. No costume. Not even a life cast. Besides, shaking hands and “posing” for a picture with Pinhead seemed like a silly idea. From Doug’s perspective, if he’s in make-up and costume, he’s in character. “Hi. How are you?’ doesn’t quite trip off The Prince Of Pain’s tongue, does it?
The more time went on, the more the questions persisted and the more we talked about it. An idea evolved. If Pinhead can’t enter the fans’ world, how can we bring you into his? If we were to do it, we would want it to stand apart from the rest. It would need to be different. We began to talk about something a little more involved than the photo ops that most fans were used to. We wanted to present an experience and not just a photograph, as close to stepping on set with Doug as Pinhead as we could make it.
We finally made the decision to go forward with our ideas, fully knowing it would be a stressful, expensive, time consuming undertaking. It would have to be coordinated and funded solely by us, but even with that prospect, we would not skimp on details. We hired some of our closest and most talented friends to help us bring it all to life. We can only hope that everyone will be happy with what we’ve been able to accomplish together. We’re still working on some of the final details but this is something we will present to fans for the first time at Mad Monster Party, Arizona in May, 2017. read more
A new ‘Hellraiser’ is coming, however Clive Barker and Doug Bradley are not involved. Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm St.) is set to star in the film, although in a small part.
Langencamp said in an interview, “The script is amazing, and that I got the part is something that I find incredible.”
Bradley declined the last sequel to date, ‘Revelations,’ which was rushed so that Dimension could keep the rights to the franchise. Gary J. Tuncliffe, who wrote ‘Revelations,’ is directing the film. A remake has been long rumored to involve Clive Barker and Doug Bradley and in development for years. read more
