Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ Coming to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Not to be outdone by yesterday’s Creepshow maze announcement out in Hollywood, Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood just announced a haunted house based on Jordan Peele’s Us for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights events.

According to Universal Orlando’s official HHN’s website, attendees “…will walk through the Wilson family beach house and Santa Cruz Pier, where you might spot a familiar character outside of the Fun House. You’ll also venture through the unnerving tunnels that stretch for miles deep below America and come face-to-face with “The Tethered” – a group of terrifying doppelgängers of every living man, woman and child in the country. You’ll quickly discover that you are your own worst enemy.” read more

‘Creepshow’ Coming to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood

Hot on the heels of Shudder’s upcoming Creepshow series, Universal Hollywood has just announced that the anthology scarefest will make its Halloween Horror Nights debut at this year’s event.

According to the official video, fans will “experience a horror comic book come to life!  Your host for this horrifying journey is The Creep, the skeletal namesake of the Creepshow comic book, who will lead you through five jolting tales of terror inspired by the classic 1982 horror anthology and the upcoming Shudder series from horror legend Greg Nicotero.  It’s the most fun you’ll ever have being scared!” read more

‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’ Return to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights

Last year’s Killer Klowns From Outer Space scare zone was so popular that Universal Orlando will again welcome the interstellar, homicidal clowns back for a full haunted house experience at 2019’s Halloween Horror Nights.

According to the official word from Universal Orlando, this year’s house “…will feature a gaggle of new characters including the baby Klowns, Boco, and Klownzilla, as well as new scenery like the Klowns’ circus-tent spaceship, and the cotton candy cocoon storage room where they keep their victims.  Throughout the house your sense of fear will be triggered by your sense of smell as you encounter strong whiffs of familiar fairground fare like sweet cotton candy, stale buttery popcorn and ice cream. Don’t be fooled though, these otherwise pleasant aromas are a sign of the murderous gang of klowns that awaits you as you move from scene to scene.” read more

‘Ghostbusters’ Haunted House Coming to Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights

Get ready to do some bustin’ on both coasts this fall, because for the first time ever, Ghostbusters is coming to Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights in the form of a new haunted house.

Sony Picture’s classic is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and (according to Universal’s official press release) “…you’ll jump through the movie screen of the original 1984 film and walk through some of your favorite scenes like the New York Public Library, the Temple of Gozer and more.” read more

Classic Universal Monsters Coming to Halloween Horror Nights

Per an announcement from the resorts’ web site, Universal’s classic monsters will come to life in this year’s Halloween Horror Nights mazes at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in CA and FL respectively.

Based on the premier cinematic monsters from the studio that invented the horror films, Universal’s terrifying experiences on both coasts will take the frightening and legendary ensemble and bring them face-to-face with guests at the resorts’ featured Halloween events. read more

‘Stranger Things’ Returns to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2019

Since the Stranger Things haunted house turned everything “upside down” at last year’s Halloween Horror Nights, it is no surprise that the a house based on the hit Netflix  program will once again return to both Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.

According to Universal’s official Halloween Horror Nights website, “This year, you’ll experience an all-new haunted house where you will travel back to the small town of Hawkins, Indiana and walk-through some of the most terrifying scenes from Stranger Things 2 and 3.  Not only will you come face-to-face with snarling Demodogs, but you will also make your way through iconic scenes and locations, from Chief Hopper’s cabin to the Starcourt Mall.” read more

Universal Studios Orlando Announces Dates for Halloween Horror Nights 2019

For the average person, February may be too soon to start planning for Halloween, but for horror fans the real question is: what took you so long?!?

To help satisfy these eager fans, Universal Studios Orlando has just announced dates for their annual Halloween Horror Nights beginning on September 6 and running through November 2, nearly a week earlier than last year’s start.  There are also more dates this year, expanding from 34 nights to 41.

The full list of dates include:  September 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and October 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, and November 1 , 2 .  Most of these 41 dates fall on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday, or Saturday.  There are no Mondays and only one Tuesdays available. read more

Universal Orlando Extends ‘Stranger Things’ House for National ‘Stranger Things’ Day

In honor of “National Stranger Things Day” on November 6 (the day that Will Byers disappeared into the Upside Down for you obsessive fans out there), Universal Orlando Resorts will extend their ultra-popular Halloween Horror Nights’ House based on the Netflix darling, and it will be included in the regular admission price.

This is the first time that Universal has kept a house active past the end of the Halloween Horror Nights’ season. According to The Orlando Informer, “The hours of operation will be from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, with a couple of tie-in food-and-beverage locations also joining in on the post-Halloween fun: San Francisco Pastry Company, Beverly Hills Boulangerie, and, most thematically appropriately, Benny’s Burgers, which may be just a standard Horror Nights food tent but which drives its name from the television show itself.” read more

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights Offers ‘Stranger Things’ Inspired Treats

If you will be attending Universal Orlando or Universal Hollywood’s annual Halloween Horror Nights this year, you will not only be able to walk through a house inspired by Stranger Things, you’ll also be able to indulge in some sugary treats that are guaranteed to turn your taste buds “upside down”.

Attendees will have many snacks and drinks to choose from including over five different desserts that naturally feature waffles including a Strawberry Shortcake waffle, a Bananas Foster waffles, a “triple decker extravaganza” (three waffles stacked to the ceiling filled with whipped cream and candy), fudge-dipped waffles on a stick, and a waffle ice cream pocket sundae. read more

‘Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers’ Added to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood just added a big cherry on top of an already solid horror sundae at both parks for their annual Halloween Horror Nights in the form of a haunted maze based on Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers.

According to the official press release. the attraction will be “Based on the fourth installment in the classic slasher series created by John Carpenter, the mazes will transport guests to the suburban town of Haddonfield, Illinois on Halloween night where Myers has escaped Smith’s Grove Sanitarium and is hungry for revenge. This time, he relentlessly stalks his niece Jamie as his next victim, stopping at nothing to kill her.” read more
