Jeffrey DeMunn Says He Chose Dale’s Death to Get Off of ‘The Walking Dead’

It turns out that Jeffrey DeMunn had enough of The Walking Dead long before it was cool to have had enough of The Walking Dead! The way he tells it, he opted to be bit by zombies and violently killed off on the show in order to permanently leave the series after AMC unexpectedly fired the original showrunner, Frank Darabont, while the second season of the show was in production.

Robert Englund and Lisa Wilcox Reunite for ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ Panel at Rhode Island Comic Con

The A Nightmare on Elm Street panel was clearly one of the most highly-anticipated panels on Friday evening at Rhode Island Comic Con. Fans lined up early for a chance to get up close and personal with Robert Englund and Lisa Wilcox at the massive “Ballroom A” auditorium. For about an hour, the two performers reminisced about their memories of making A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master and A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, and they discussed the highlights of their respective careers beyond the Nightmare franchise. ‘The Walking Dead’ Producers Sue AMC Networks over Failure to Pay Fair Market Value

According to the Hollywood Reporter, it looks like AMC is getting sued again, and this time The Walking Dead’s original producer Frank Darabont is not the plaintiff!

This time around, the current production team of Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Glen Mazzara, and David Alpert “…maintain AMC has failed to pay fair market value in the license fee for the series because the show is produced by its in-house AMC Studios arm.”   The lawsuit includes the trinity of AMC’s The Walking Dead stable:  The original program, Fear the Walking Dead, and even Talking Dead. read more
