New Horror Podcasts From Shudder Feature Eli Roth, Adrienne Barbeau, and Elijah Wood

Shudder’s original content (Horror Noire, The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, and the upcoming Creepshow anthology) has been impressing horror fans of all kinds this year, and the horror streaming service doesn’t appear to be slowing down.  Shudder is about to get into the podcast game with three new shows featuring names that should be familiar to all horror fans: Eli Roth, Adrienne Barbeau, and Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah.

The official titles for each podcast include: “Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut, an expansion of the television series AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of HorrorShe Kills, a podcast by and about women in the horror genre, hosted by Adrienne Barbeau; and Visitations with Elijah Wood & Daniel Noah, a unique series that invites listeners into the lives and homes of some of the most creative figures working in genre entertainment today.” read more

New Shudder Documentary Series Will Explore ‘Cursed Films’

Shudder continues to provide original programming for their growing subscriber base with the announcement of a new horror film documentary series entitled Cursed Films. The series will highlight a different film each episode and examine “…the facts, myths and mysteries around iconic films and franchises whose casts and crew have been struck by misfortune and tragedy, including The Exorcist, Poltergeist and The Omen, among others.”

According to the official press release, each episode will be composed of “…interviews with experts, witnesses and the cast, directors and producers who lived through the real-life events” and of course, ask the question everyone is bragging about: “Were these films really cursed, as many believe, or just the victims of bad luck and bizarre circumstances?” read more
