Prepare for Nightmares as Freddy is Confirmed for ‘Dead by Daylight’

A new video for Dead by Daylight has confirmed a Nightmare on Elm Street chapter will be added featuring Freddy Krueger. As we reported last week, there were rumors that the “Springwood Slasher” would be the next character to be added to the survival horror game, which already features Leatherface, Michael Myers and Laurie Strode.

While it is great to see Freddy in game, some fans are upset at the character model used for the iconic 80s slasher. Instead of tailoring it after Robert Englund, the character bears a likeness to Jackie Earle Haley who portrayed Freddy in the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. read more

Freddy Krueger Being Added to ‘Dead by Daylight’

Yesterday, Behaviour Interactive and Starbreeze Studios released the trailer for an upcoming chapter of Dead by Daylight called “Don’t Fall Asleep.” While the trailer does not show Freddy himself, rumors have been circulating around the internet.  The speculation is that some data was leaked and certain sound effects surfaced that would indicate that the iconic 80’s slasher would be appearing. One sound effect even has a child humming the “One, Two, Freddy’s Coming For You” song. read more

Play as Halloween’s Michael Myers in “Dead by Daylight”

Dead by Daylight is not unfamiliar to hardcore gamers as it has already been available for Microsoft Windows OS for a year but today the game hits the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles as well.

An asymmetrical horror/survival game, Dead by Daylight pits up to four “survivors” against one “killer” who is tasked with tracking down and eliminating them all. The gameplay takes place in several locations that are based on the place that the killer calls home.

For horror fans who were psyched at the opportunity to play as Jason Voorhees in Gun Media & IllFonic’s Friday the 13th: The Game, Dead By Daylight has jumped into the mix by adding Michael Myers and Laurie Strode as playable characters in the all-too-familiar setting of Haddonfield but currently only in the Windows version (more on that below). read more

Michael Myers and Halloween Franchise Comes to Dead by Daylight

Independent game developers, Starbreeze and Behaviour announced their collaboration with Compass International Pictures on bringing a Halloween Chapter to the multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight.

Set for release on October 25th, the chapter will feature the king of slashers himself, Michael Myers and his hometown, Haddonfield. If that wasn’t enough to get horror fans behind the game, it was also announced that Laurie Strode will be in the game as well.

Dead by Daylight is a multi-player survival horror game where one player takes control of the killer and the other players try to survive. The game was released on June 14, 2016 and has received many rave reviews and currently holds a 7/10 score on the digital gaming distribution platform, Steam. read more
