Netflix Hit “Dark” Renewed for Second Season

In the land of horror/sci-fi television series’, is any network hotter than Netflix right now? Proving that you don’t even have to speak English to woo an English-speaking audience, Netflix’s newest genre series Dark debuted on December 1st and has already been greenlit for a second season. That’s not to say that the show isn’t a hit overseas as well because it certainly is.

Created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, Dark takes place in the German town of Winden and follows the events surrounding the disappearance of two children which sets four families on a frantic hunt for answers as they unearth a mind-bending mystery that spans three generations. read more

Screen Media Picks Up Joe Dante-Produced Thriller ‘Dark’

Screen Media has acquired the rights to the psychological thriller ‘Dark,’ directed by Nick Basile.  Joe Dante produced the film, which stars Whitney Able, Alexandra Breckenridge, Michael Eklund and Brendan Sexton III. 

The story centers around a disturbed woman on the night of the 2003 New York City blackout, when she finds herself trapped and alone.   The pic is produced by Basile, Elias, Kathryn Belli, David Boulton, Andrea De Liberato and Emanuele Moretti.
