David Liebe Hart first rose to a special kind of fame throughout his beloved appearances on Adult Swim’s Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! and Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule. Whether it be his unique puppetry, his interesting musical performances, or his vivid storytelling, fans of his various appearances always have a specific segment or two they can point to and exclaim their love. Hart can most recently be seen on Awesome Show‘s 10 year anniversary special, and he has taken to the road for an all-new tour in support of his new Space Ranger album. HNN staff member Nick Banks and I sat down with David during the New Haven stop of his tour to conduct an interview on his recent works and to delve deeper into the supernatural topics we first discussed with him last December (You can check that out by clicking this link). What began as a simple interview quickly turned into a trek across New Haven in search of train tracks, churches and tacos. What follows is my account of that odyssey.
Sarah Paulson- an actress known for screaming and hiding from clowns every week on American Horror Story: Cult- appeared on Ellen this morning to scream and hide from clowns.
Ellen, a hostess known for playfully pranking her guests from time to time, took things to the next level this morning by terrifying poor Sarah not one, not two, but three separate times! It all started before the show with a dressing room closet prank. Things escalated on stage during showtime when a costumed man with a Halloween-ey outfit snuck up on her and grabbed her shoulder while shouting unexpectedly. Paulson’s screams in real life are just as blood-curdling as her terrified performances; and by the second scare one has to wonder if she’s really into being freaked out over and over again for the amusement of Ellen’s audience. But Ellen didn’t stop there. A clown jumped out of a big box, which caused Sarah to take shelter under the show’s prop coffee table. read more
At the start of the summer, the Alamo Drafthouse generated a lot of buzz by offering a screening of Wonder Woman exclusively for women. Many people loved the idea, but there was some pushback from disgruntled male fans who weren’t invited to the party. This September, the theater chain’s flagship Austin location will carry on its new tradition with an exclusive screening that nearly everyone will agree on: a clown-only screening of It!
That’s right, this event will afford everyone the priceless opportunity to see the highly anticipated movie while dressed as a clown and surrounded by clowns! This particular screening will occur on Saturday, September 9th at 7:00 PM. Every other screening will be (mostly) clown-free, if you want to leave your greasepaint at home. Here is the official description of the event, from the Alamo Drafthouse event website: read more
