The X-Files to Return in Second Event Series in 2017-2018

We’ve got some good news for fans of Fox’s The X-Files who couldn’t get enough of the 10-episode revival series which ran in early 2016! After a long period of planning and scheduling, Indie Wire reports that Fox plans to bring back the series for another 10 episodes during its 2017-2018 television season. Chris Carter, David Duchovny, and Gillian Anderson are all set to return for the upcoming project, and production will begin as early as this summer.

Teaser Video Released for The X-Files: Cold Cases

Audible has released a teaser video for The X-Files: Cold Cases, a new audiobook series based on a graphic novel series written by Joe Harris. Series creator Chris Carter will provide creative direction for the project, and the series will feature the voices of franchise favorites David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, and more. Chris Carter Says Fox Wants More ‘X-Files’ in Future

In an interview with THR, Chris Carter revealed that Fox is going to want more episodes of ‘The X-Files’ in the future in light of the high ratings for the show.   They have not negotiated anything yet and the process could take sometime, however it will happen. It is just a matter of when.
