‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ Reboot Gets New Cast Members

This just in courtesy of Deadline, the new Dark Tales of Sabrina Netflix series has cast more lead characters with a wealth of fresh talent.

Jaz Sinclair (Easy) has been chosen to play Rosalind Walker, Sabrina’s best friend. As the daughter of Greendale’s minister, she is described as “brash, empowered, and outspoken.”

Hilda Spellman, one of Sabrina’s two witch aunts, is to be played by British actress Lucy Davis, known for her work on the UK version of The Office and 2017’s live action Wonder Woman. Sabrina’s other aunt, named Zelda, has not been cast as of yet. read more

Dark ‘Sabrina’ Gets First Concept Art

Earlier this month, it was reported the new rendition of Sabrina the Teenage Witch is actually getting a two season order from Netflix rather than airing on The CW Network, and today series executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed the first piece of concept art for the series.

Looking just as twisted as the comics from which it originated, the artwork depicts the main character surrounded by vast woods observing a bright and burning fire.

Since finding a new home, it is currently unknown if the series will follow the continuity created by CW’s Riverdale. Originally, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic book series featured a few appearances by Archie characters such as Betty and Veronica. ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Heads to Netflix

Deadline is reporting that a 20-episode, two-season series of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been ordered by Netflix. In October we reported that the CW was in talks to bring the show to their network. Rumor has it that Netflix made an offer to the producing studio, Warner Bros., that it could not refuse. Given the hot streak Netflix has been on lately with such hits as Stranger Things, Mindhunter and The Punisher, the series could seemingly be another solid addition for both horror and comic fans. read more
