Cannibalism… murder… twisted love… revolution… confusion. These are some of the themes from some of my favorite books of 2016. Over the last year, more authors and titles have become available with new stories, characters and ways to cultivate horror coming out of the shadows. I was very lucky in 2016 to have so many talented and terrifying authors join me in live conversation on The Horror Happens Radio Show. Exciting news for aspiring horror writers as CryptTV, the video company fronted by Eli Roth and Blumhouse Productions, is partnering with crowd-sourcing platform Inkshares to launch a collection of horror books under the CryptTV brand.
As a part of this partnership, CryptTV is running a contest through Inkshares where the top three horror stories will automatically be published by Inkshares; then CryptTV will choose one of those to brand under their CryptTV name. According to news source Deadspin, the contest will end on October 31st with the winners being announced on November 4th. read more
