Horror News Network’s Award for 2018 Cover of the Year goes to Archie Publications’ Jughead The Hunger #4A. Artist Adam Gorham delivered an absolutely amazing cover which featured an enraged Jughead in full lycanthrope form.

Jughead the Hunger follows the beloved Jughead Jones as his insatiable appetite can only be quenched by human flesh. When a murderous menace is on the prowl, taking the lives of some of the most well-known and esteemed inhabitants of Riverdale, Jughead and his family’s dark legacy comes to light in this horrifying collection of tales. The ongoing series is written by Frank Tieri (Wolverine, Deadpool, Batman: Gotham Underground) and features interior art by Pat & Tim Kennedy and Joe Eisma. read more

Sabrina/Riverdale Crossover Not Planned but New Spin-off Is

Looks like Sabrina won’t be crossing over into Riverdale this fall as series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed at the Television Critics Association on Monday that there are no plans currently for a crossover between the CW show and its upcoming sister series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. However, he did confirm that another spin-off is in the pipeline but was coy with the details.

In the morning of the event, CW president Mark Pedowitz downplayed all rumors of a crossover for the two series and clarified no one from Riverdale would be making a cameo appearance on the Netflix drama. read more

Dark ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ Reboot is Coming to The CW

Although its original run ended 14 years ago, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is returning for a much darker rendition than ever before in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Straight from The Independent, this version is aiming to be less teen-friendly and more in line with films like The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby. The new show will be produced by Warner Bros. TV along with Berlanti Productions and aired on The CW.

Chilling Adventures follows after Riverdale, a teen drama television series based on the characters by Archie Comics that premiered on The CW in January 2017. The show puts a dark spin on the more colorful counterparts from the original comic book series. read more
