Devs, the mysterious new limited series from writer/director Alex Garland, is finally ready to make its debut. Fans of Garland’s previous work on Ex Machina and Annihilation have been eager for crumbs of information about the series ever since it was announced and its impressive cast of starring actors was revealed (frequent Garland collaborator Sonoya Mizuno, Nick Offerman, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jin Ha, and more). FX has finally pulled back the curtain and released a full-length trailer for Devs, which you can watch below:

Variety reports that FX has officially ordered an 8 episode run of Devs, a murder mystery which takes places within a nefarious big tech company. According to their report, the television series, “follows a young computer engineer, Lily Chan, as she investigates the secretive development division of her employer, a cutting-edge tech company based in San Francisco, whom she believes are behind the murder of her boyfriend.” read more

The winter of 2017 was a banner season for horror films, with Split and Get Out dominating the box office, beginning one of the most profitable years for horror films of all time. While there might not be a film that reaches the box office heights of either of the aforementioned films, there are a number of intriguing new films, time-tested sequels, and the inevitable stinkers that traditionally appear in this coldest of seasons.
Insidious: the Last Key (January 5): The Insidious franchise returns for a fourth time this January with a slight twist. The film will chronologically take place before Insidious Chapter 2, focusing on the Lorraine Warren-esque psychic investigator Elise Rainier (portrayed by Lin Shaye) from the original film. It seems like some “hitchhiking ghosts” have followed the investigator home to get even after the events that took place in the Lambert Household. read more
Paramount Pictures have just dropped a clip that will make you think twice before entering the wilderness! Annihilation is an upcoming sci-fi horror movie that was written and directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina). The story is based on a book by Jeff VanderMeer. In the new teaser trailer for the film, we see Natalie Portman’s character begin to encounter trouble in an unusual quarantined location known only as “Area X.” You can watch the entire clip below:
One thing’s for sure, given the pedigree of the filmmaker, the cast, and this tension-filled trailer, Annihilation is shaping up to be a movie that will end up on many must-see lists! The film will also star Oscar Isaac, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. It hits theaters on February 23rd, 2018.
