Anne Rice’s ‘The Vampire Chronicles’ Coming to Hulu

According to the Hollywood Reporter, it appears that Anne Rice’s popular vampire saga may finally make its way to television screens courtesy of Hulu.

Hannibal and American Gods’ Bryan Fuller (who was going to serve as the showrunner on the series) recently left the project because he didn’t want to “… step on the toes of longtime friends Rice and her son, Christopher, who penned the original script.”

Anne and Christopher Rice will executive produce the potential series, along with Anonymous Content’s David Kanter and Steve Golin.
Paramount Television and Anonymous Content currently have an option for all 11 books from the Vampire Chronicles. read more

Anne Rice Regains Rights to The Vampire Chronicles

Just a few hours ago Anne Rice announced via her Facebook page that she has regained the theatrical rights to The Vampire Chronicles.

“A television series of the highest quality is now my dream for Lestat, Louis, Armand, Marius and the entire tribe,” said Rice. “My son Christopher Rice and I will be developing a pilot script and a detailed outline for an open ended series, faithfully presenting Lestat’s story as it is told in the books, complete with the many situations that readers expect to see.” read more
