New Trailer Drops for “Alien: Covenant”

One of the most eagerly anticipated films of 2017 gets a full trailer release and said trailer is two minutes and thirty-six seconds of face-hugging/Xenomorph glory. Starring Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, James Franco, Danny McBride and a slew of other recognizable names, Alien: Covenant is directed by Ridley Scott (his third of the series) and is a sequel to 2012’s Prometheus which is in turn a prequel to the original Alien series.

Ridley, who directed the original 1979 Alien told Flickering Myth back in January that he “wanted to go back and really explore the origins of the xenomorphs”, adding that, “We did Prometheus – that heaved it off the ground, and Covenant is a follow-through to Prometheus. We now know who created this, and why, and the next one’s a joining up of the storyline.” read more

Fox Releases 4 Minute Prologue Video for Alien: Covenant

If Fox’s teaser image of the cast of Alien: Covenant two days ago wasn’t enough to whet your appetite for the Ridley Scott project, they’ve just released a prologue video for the film that’s over four minutes long!

Entitled, “Prologue: The Last Supper,” the clip introduces the audience to all of the main cast before the horrors of the plot befall them. This is the first time we see James Franco and Danny McBride in their roles for an extended period of time, and Michael Fassbender has a scene-stealing moment late in the clip. There’s even a “dinner disruption” that calls back memories of the classic panic-inducing “chestburster” scene of the original film. You can watch the entire clip below: read more

New Images Released from “Alien: Covenant”

It looks like fans clamoring for a new trailer of Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant will have to quench their thirst with just a few still images released from the film’s Twitter account yesterday. One image shows Michael Fassbender, as one of his characters, dressed in all white sitting at a piano; another shows some of the blood that we’ve come to love from this series covering the inner walls of the ship.

The film’s plot synopsis reads:  “Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world – whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.” read more
