So you think you’re the biggest Friday the 13th fan, huh? You’ve got all of the movies on blu-ray, you’ve had your picture taken with all of the actors who’ve ever played Jason… but have you ever spent the night at the legendary Camp Crystal Lake? Pretty soon, a few lucky (and wealthy) fans will be able to answer “yes” to that question!
Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, the original shooting location for 1980’s Friday the 13th, will soon be opening its gates to fans of the franchise in an unprecedented manner. The Warren County, New Jersey campground is typically off-limits to the general public due to the fact that it is owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America. The organization has periodically offered tours of the hallowed grounds as fundraisers in recent years, but they plan to up the ante with an all-nighter for the first time ever this spring! The only problem is, it will end up costing you an arm and a leg (and who wants to hear that phrase when Jason Voorhees is within earshot!?). However, you don’t need to feel too guilty about making such a purchase, because all proceeds will go towards preserving the camp for the enjoyment of future generations of scouts.
