Suntup Editions, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Exorcist novel, has announced a fine press limited edition of the book by William Peter Blatty. Featuring artwork by Marc Potts, the fine press limited edition of The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty is presented in four states: Roman Numeral, Lettered, Numbered and Artist editions.
Published in 1971 by Harper & Row, The Exorcist tells the tale of an eleven-year-old girl, Reagan, who becomes possessed by a demon. The novel was such a hit that a film adaptation, starring Linda Blair as Regan, was released two years later. The Exorcist skyrocketed to the top of the New York Times bestseller list where it would spend seventeen consecutive weeks at the top spot and it remained on the list for a total of 57 weeks.
It was just announced that the artists edition of the publication, which is expected to be released in the Summer of 2021, sold out in just over an hour. However, some specialty dealers will have a limited number of copies available, including Subterranean Press, Dark Regions Press, Camelot Books and Lividian Publications.
