Shooting Location for ‘Friday the 13th’ to Offer Sleepaway Camp to the Highest Bidder

So you think you’re the biggest Friday the 13th fan, huh? You’ve got all of the movies on blu-ray, you’ve had your picture taken with all of the actors who’ve ever played Jason… but have you ever spent the night at the legendary Camp Crystal Lake? Pretty soon, a few lucky (and wealthy) fans will be able to answer “yes” to that question!

Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, the original shooting location for 1980’s Friday the 13th, will soon be opening its gates to fans of the franchise in an unprecedented manner. The Warren County, New Jersey campground is typically off-limits to the general public due to the fact that it is owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America. The organization has periodically offered tours of the hallowed grounds as fundraisers in recent years, but they plan to up the ante with an all-nighter for the first time ever this spring! The only problem is, it will end up costing you an arm and a leg (and who wants to hear that phrase when Jason Voorhees is within earshot!?). However, you don’t need to feel too guilty about making such a purchase, because all proceeds will go towards preserving the camp for the enjoyment of future generations of scouts.

On Friday the 13th, 2018 and the following day, fans can register for a $135 morning tour or a $175 afternoon tour which includes dinner. Both packages will be granted to fans by means of a lottery process. A VIP package, which runs from 3:00 pm to 11:00 am, is available exclusively to the highest bidders via a blind bidding system. The VIP package is the only way for non-Boy Scouts to sleep on these campgrounds, and it also includes a special appearance by Adrienne King, who played Alice in Friday the 13th Part 1 and Part 2. Here is Crystal Lake Tours’ official description of the event:

“VIP guests will participate in the tour of the camp, have an amazing dinner in our historic dining hall and take part in a first-time-ever special evening activity. When the rest of the afternoon tour attendees leave, their VIP experience will continue with an overnight stay in our log cabins, breakfast and a once-in-a-lifetime activity in the morning with our special guest. This will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for hardcore F13 fans.

Please note that your authentic camp experience will include camping out on an army style cot in a rustic log cabin together with other VIPs.”

…because nothing says “VIP” like army style cots and rustic log cabins!
