Season 2 of ‘Castlevania’ Coming in October

According to CNET, during the Netflix Anime panel at the Los Angeles Anime Expo, John Derderian the Director of Japan and Global Anime at Netflix made the announcement that the second of Castlevania will debut on October 26, 2018. The series follows Trevor Belmont (voiced by Richard Armitage) as he tries to save humanity from the deadly Dracula.

Shortly thereafter, Castlevania writer Warren Ellis posted a tweet letting fans know that the series will consist of eight episodes.

The first season of the series which premiered on July 7, 2017 was made up of only four episodes. While reviews of the first season were mostly positive, data measurement firm, Parrot Analytics reported that Castlevania was the most popular digital original series in the United States during July 6–19, 2017, with the show generating 23,175,616 “demand expressions” on average. The company defines “demand expressions” as: the total audience demand being expressed for a title, within a country, on any platform. The audience demand is a weighted, country-specific measure of demand.

With an audience like that it’s no wonder that Netflix doubled the episodes for season two. Keep it locked to Horror News Network for more news on Castlevania.
