It’s time to get creepy as the much anticipated trailer for Slender Man has finally hit the web and we have it here.
Javier Botet who played “The Crooked Man” in The Conjuring 2 and “The Leper” in IT will become the titular monster. The film also stars Jaz Sinclair, Julia Goldani Telles, Joey King, Annalise Basso, and Alex Fitzalan. The film is helmed by director Sylvain White and written by David Birke.
Slender Man’s origins date back to 2009 when Eric Knudson (using the screen name Victor Surge) posted his entry in a paranormal photoshop contest on the Something Awful Forums. Knudson’s entry consisted of two black and white photos, each with kids and a tall, thin figure wearing a black suit and a white face which is devoid of facial features in the background. The unsettling creation struck a chord with many users and within days they started submitting their own versions of the frightening character. The word of Slender Man started to spread from forum to forum and it quickly became an internet sensation.
