San Diego Comic-Con 2018

This July 19 through July 22, 2018 is Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. Also known by its previous name as San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), this is a massive pop-culture convention with attendance in the range of 130,000 attendees annually. The convention is so well attended that it has reached capacity in the San Diego Convention Center and has been moving events to the adjacent hotels, facilities, and the Gaslamp District to create a campus-like setting. Attendees are able to enjoy not just panels and events inside the convention center, but also areas called “activations” or “off sites” that are in coordination with other companies, such as AMC and USA networks and Facebook Live. While this helps to distribute crowds, it also provides a feeling of having something special everywhere you look in the downtown San Diego area.

Stephanie Shamblin Gray and Brian Gray are on scene once again this year to track down the incredible horror creations and events that are happening in San Diego and reporting them here. Check back all week for breaking news, special announcements, photos, and videos from San Diego.
