Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in the upcoming ‘Blade Runner’ sequel with Harrison Ford. The Alcon Entertaiment film has a script from Hampton Fancher, who co-wrote the original, and Michael Green. Ridley Scott is executive producing the film. Ford will be portraying Rick Deckard, the same character he played in the original. This one takes places several decades after the original from 1982, about a police operative chasing after machines known as replicants. Alcon Enterntainment, which is planning on making both prequels and sequels of the film, acquired the rights in 2011. Bud Yorkin, Andrew A. Kosove, Broderick Johnson, and Cynthia Sikes Yorkin are producing the sequel. Thunderbird Films’ CEOs Frank Giustra and Tim Gamble are executive producing. Principle photography is scheduled to begin in summer 2016.
