Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) has been cast in Paramount’s ‘Rings’. He will play a good looking, pleasure-seeking professor named Gabriel, who mentors couple Holt (Alex Roe) and Julia (Matilda Lutz), and is expected very different character than his role as Leonard on ‘The Big Bang Theory’. It is the third film in the series about a cursed video tape that unleashes an evil that kills whomever watches it within seven days. Javier Gutirrez is directing the film, which is scripted by David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes, and Akiva Goldsman. Based on the Japanese film ‘Ringu’, which was based on the novel by Koji Suzuki, the original ‘The Ring’ was released in 2002 and ‘The Ring 2’ released in 2005. ‘Rings’ is set to hit theaters Friday November 13th.
