Oscar Isaac In Negotiations To Star In ‘Moon Knight’

It looks as if a Star Wars fan favorite will move from a Galaxy far away to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With his time as Poe Dameron winding down in the Star Wars franchise, actor, Oscar Isaac, is in negotiations to star as Moon Knight in the Marvel and Disney+ series, according to a report on Deadline.

In November 2019, Jeremy Slater was hired as lead writer on the series.

The character of Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin and made his first comic book appearance in Werewolf by Night #32 in August 1975. The character would go on to appear in numerous titles until 1980 when Moon Knight received an ongoing series with scribe, Doug Moench, and artist, Bill Sienkiewicz.

Since that time the character grew in popularity and had many ongoing and mini-series. He has been a member of the Avengers, Marvel Knights and Defenders. Moon Knight was often referred to as Marvel’s version of Batman.
