Melissa Barrera Joins ‘Scream 5’

It looks as if Ghostface may have found another victim. Mexican actress and singer, Melissa Barrera has officially joined the cast of Scream 5 becoming the first new cast member to be announced, according to a report on Deadline.

Barrera joins the already announced Courtney Cox, who will reprise the role of Gale Weathers, and David Arquette, who will return as Dewey Riley. Series star Neve Campbell is also in talks to return as Ghostface’s nemesis Sidney Prescott.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are set to direct the film which is based on a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (Murder Mystery, Amazing Spider-Man) and Guy Busick (Ready or NotCastle Rock).
