‘Locke & Key’ and Joe Hill Return to SDCC

Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodriguez, and Chris Ryall spoke at SDCC about their latest issue of the beloved comic “Locke & Key” and the upcoming show.

The show will be available on Netflix and contains 10 episodes that have already been completed filming. The release date was still not announce but Hill noted that the show could be added to you cue now. Fans were thrilled to see this series be reincarnated in another form to be available for viewing after multiple previous attempts to get the series off the ground. The original pilot was screened to SDCC fans in 2011, but despite positive feedback never aired beyond the convention. Hill also noted that while the new show is in the spirit of the comic, not everything will be exactly by the panel. “We pull the rug out from under you” and don’t always show what was in the comic to keep fans guessing.

SDCC Synopsis: Locke & Key co-creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez reunite to discuss the series’ impact, the all-new Con exclusive Locke & Key comic, the coming Netflix streaming series, and the (strong) likelihood of even more new L&K comics. Come join the authors and moderator/Locke & Key editor/IDW CCO Chris Ryall for a celebration of the landmark series in all its forms.
