The Hollywood Reporter posted today that Lifetime has cast David Meunier in their upcoming ‘The Omen’ sequel ‘Damien’. Fresh of his role in ‘Justified, he will be a series regular. Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) is showrunner behind the drama from Fox 21 Television Studios. It ceneters around the adult life of Damien Thorn (Bradly James), who is unaware of the satanic forces surrounding him. He must come to terms with who he really is – the Antichrist. Meunier is cast as the cynical Detective Shay who is investigating the bizarre events occuring around Thorn. Barbara Hershey also stars as Ann Rutledge, the woman assisting Damien on his path to power, and Omid Abtahi (Better Call Saul) who plays Amani Golker, a co-worker of Damien’s who realizes who he really is. Mazzara is writing and executive producing the series with his 44 Strong Productions. Ross Fineman is also executive producing with his Fineman Entertainment, and developing the series with Mazzara. Pancho Mansfield and Skekhar Kapur are executive producing as well. Kapur is directing the premiere of the six episode straight-to-series, which will air in 2015.
