Kong: Skull Island Imax Poster Pays Homage to Apocalypse Now

If the new Kong: Skull Island Imax Poster looks familiar, you not only have an eye for classic movie one-sheets, but you also probably have an affinity for one of the greatest war stories based on classic literature ever filmed: Apocalypse Now.

The poster is a homage to Bob Peak’s iconic 1979 artwork for the Francis Ford Coppola film (based on Joseph Conrad’s dark tale of imperialism and madness Heart of Darkness) and is a special poster created for the Imax release of Kong: Skull Island on March 10th.

It is unclear at this time if the Imax poster will be offered to early ticket buyers or first day viewers in the form of an exclusive mini-poster (13 x 19) as Imax has done in the past, most recently in conjunction with Star Wars: Rogue One.   Stayed tuned to Horror News Network for more information on the availability of this collectible poster.
